beautiful maddy!

oh how i love to work with such lovely families!  i've had the pleasure of working with mike and amy during their maternity session before ms. maddy arrived.  this was the first time i got to meet maddy... and what a precious, sweet doll she is.  she was a bit shy at first but i think she liked me once we got going.  :)  i love her expressions and her beautiful eyes.  oh and her amazing baby rolls - THE.BEST!  thanks again for having me over to photograph sweet baby maddy!

one & two

i love capturing special moments.  those moments we see that we want to remember but often can't.  i long to grab those on film.  i love to look back at photos...  i remember the way i felt, the smells, the emotions..

this week was so warm so we all went out to the park..  to enjoy the beautiful warm summer evening.  i watched matthew and lena walk through the park together.  she loves him with all of her little heart.  he adores her and she knows it.  :)  he wants to teach her everything and show her the world.  he is a amazing.  these are those special moments.  pure and real.  these are the moments that catch our breath, that make up our memories.  life doesn't get better than this.

friday's picture dump on sunday

it's been a crazy, busy week...  and i'm posting my friday picture dump on sunday.  :)  it's too hot to think right and trying to keep the kids occupied while we're stuck in the house can get challenging.  i'm officially back to shooting and it feels great.  had a nice break a little before and after the little man blessed us...but now it's time to get behind the camera and work.  this week was busy with booking family sessions for the upcoming fall season, booking some 2013 weddings and random baby/maternity sessions.

today i had a wonderful session with a gorgeous and sweet little 7 month old, little maddy!  pictures will be coming soon!  tomorrow will be working with a brand little baby girl!  it's so exciting and i feel blessed to be working with such amazing people.  i feel like i gain new friends with each new client and to get to watch their babies grow...and photograph them along the way is so special.  i'm honored to capture all of these special moments.  life happens fast and babies grow too fast.  ahhh...i love my job.

friday picture dump

another week has gone by!  it's been a busy week of work, babies and HEAT!  we're having a nice heat wave here in southern california.  matthew still has three weeks left of summer vacation and we're stuck inside most of the day because it's too hot for the littles.  we try to make the best of it with games, movies and swim days at grandma & grandpa's.  tj turned 8 weeks old this week, lena is giving the potty chair a try and matthew has been swimming a lot!

1, 2 & 3

it's mind blowing to think how fast things change in our lives.  i am trying so hard to take a deep breath and absorb the life around me.  i'm blessed.  i'm thankful everyday!

it's summer 2012 and it's almost over <sigh>... and it may very well be one of the last summers that #1 will still want to hang out <sniffle>.  

i thought it might be a good time to introduce my kids, my inspiration.  so for today, the summer of 2012, words that come to my mind when I think of my babies:

#1 - matt (14 years old)
exceptional.  brilliant.  funny.  handsome.  compassionate.  teenager.  gifted.  big brother.  AMAZING!

#2 - lena (18 months old)
sweet.  feisty.  girly.  thumbsucker.  smart.  beautiful.  loud.  toddler.  silly.  ADORABLE!

#3 - tj (6 weeks old)
new.  cuddly.  noisemaker.  baby.  HUNGRY.  soft.  mama's boy.  HUNGRY!

summer is too short!  

christmas is just around the corner...  and milestones.  lots and lots of milestones to be made.  lots of memories to make....and of course lots of pictures to remember it all.
